1. Photos

To ensure the best possible painting, please provide high-quality photos of your pet. Here are some tips to help capture the perfect shot:

• Lighting: Natural light works best, as it highlights details and shows accurate coloring. Photos taken outside or near a well-lit window are ideal. Try to avoid harsh shadows by using uneven lighting.

• Key Features: Ensure the eyes, nose, and any unique traits of your pet are clearly visible.

​

• Angle: Photos taken at eye level provide the best perspective. Getting down to your pet's level, perhaps with a toy or treat to capture their attention, can help achieve the perfect gaze.

​

• Pose: The pose in the photo will be used for the painting, so make sure it reflects how you envision the final piece. Sitting poses tend to work best, but feel free to choose whatever suits your pet’s personality.

• Quantity & Variety: Sending multiple high-quality photos from different angles helps me capture every detail and better understand your pet's character. Feel free to include notes on your pet’s personality and any special traits you’d like highlighted.

If your beloved pet has passed or you’d like an older image painted, don’t worry! Even if the photo isn’t perfect, I can work with what you have. I’ve created beautiful portraits from 20-year-old disposable camera pictures, so please send what you have, and together, we’ll create something memorable and special.

2. Style & Size

Once you’ve chosen the style and size from the options above...Watercolour, acrylic or pen.

 Simply press the contact me button below and we’ll begin your portrait process. I will help select the perfect picture to paint from and send digitally cropped versions onto either a white background or canvas background. This will help you gain an idea of how a photo will translate into a portrait.

3. Deposit & Secure 

Once fully confirmed and ready to go ahead a deposit is required of £50 non refundable to secure your space. This will be deducted from your final invoice once completed.

4. Preview

When your portrait is complete, I’ll send preview images for your approval. If any adjustments are needed, I’ll be happy to make them to ensure the painting is exactly as you envision.

5. Payment

An invoice will be sent via email once the preview is approved. Upon receiving payment, your portrait will be gift-wrapped and sent via tracked special delivery, packaged securely with cardboard backing to ensure it arrives safely.

If you’d like your painting professionally mounted and framed, I can arrange this with my local framers for an additional cost. If possible, collection is preferred to minimize the risk of damage during shipping. Please contact me if you’re interested in this service.
